Mr. James Kumakech

Mr. James Kumakech holds a Bachelor Degree in Development Studies. He is the Executive Director of CUWEDE COD LAB since its founding in 2006. With over 17 years leadership and management experience; James has developed wealth of experience and has had series of short and long term on job training regionally and globally with reputable organisations, firm and companies especially MS-Training center-Arusha, INSEAD Business School-Nairobi, African School of Microfinance-Mombasa, Sustainable Entrepreneurship-Stuggart-Germany, Farm Data Management-FAO, Human Resource Management by Institute of Banking and Financial Services-Kampala; Uganda Green Enterprise Finance Accelerator (UGEFA), Energy Enterprise Coach; New Energy Nexus, International Training Center, African Food Change Makers and SME Growth Lab among others.

He has worked and given support to several community and village self help groups, partnership building, networking, advocacy, poverty resource monitoring and tracking applying research and rights based approach to governance and development; and strengthening relationship with local government.

In addition, he has provided research consultancy services in, Local Government Council scorecard initiative, public expenditure tracking in health and assessing governance aspect in water and roads and has co-authored some of these reports with senior Research Fellows at ACODE. He provide overall leadership to CUWEDE COD LAB management.
